This past Sunday, James Comer (R-KY), the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, called out White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain and demanded that he officially release the visitor records for the Delaware home of President Joe Biden and any other information in relation to the classified documents found there.
Come recently decided to pen a letter the Klain after the recent finding of a cache of classified documents within the president’s residence from back when he served as the nation’s vice president under former President Barack Obama.
“It is troubling that classified documents have been improperly stored at the home of President Biden for at least six years, raising questions about who may have reviewed or had access to classified information,” expressed Comer. “Additionally, President Biden’s personal attorneys, who do not possess security clearances, and White House staff continue to access and search the President’s residence in Wilmington, Delaware for classified documents.”
The chairman of the Oversight Committee issued the demand of Klein to provide the information in order to keep the country safe.
“Given the serious national security implications, the White House must provide the Wilmington residence’s visitor log,” stated Comer.
Comer issued a request for the complete logs and detailed information about searches of Biden’s personal residence and other locations by the deadline of January 30, 2023.
As part of an interview from the Sunday segement of CNN’s “State of the Union,” Comer explained that he wants more information about just who had access to Biden’s former Penn Center office, where a number of classified documents were discovered.
“Why didn’t we hear about this on November 2nd when the first batch of classified documents were discovered?” posited Comer.

On Thursday, however, Attorney General Merrick Garland stated that he has officially appointed former U.S. Attorney Robert Hur as the special counsel to now take responsibility for the probe which was instigated by U.S. Attorney John Lausch.
“The document authorizes him to investigate whether any person or entity violated the law in connection with this matter,” explained Garland as part of the announcement press conference. “The special counsel will not be subject to the day-to-day supervision of any official of the department, but he must comply with the regulations, procedures and policies of the department.”
Both Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) banded together to send out a letter to Garland, directly demanding all communications and documents in relation to the discovery of Biden’s classified materials.
