As President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign faces mounting challenges, he has been pushing a far-left agenda in an effort to rally support. On Tuesday, he addressed the NAACP, though he mistakenly referred to it as the “NAAC” during his speech.
Observing Biden struggle with a regular teleprompter rather than his usual jumbotron setup was a prelude to issues. Biden’s tendency to shout during speeches, as seen in his recent interview with Lester Holt, often comes across as unhinged. This approach might be an attempt to appear strong and in control, but it often feels more like the “why are we shouting” scene from “Anchor Man.”

Despite having his speech scrolling right in front of him on the teleprompter, Biden’s frequent missteps reveal his cognitive decline. While it may seem redundant to keep pointing this out, it’s crucial for voters to see the real state of the president as we approach the election.
In his speech, Biden introduced a new rent control plan, which many find alarming. The plan proposes capping rent hikes at five percent annually, a move that economists warn could devastate the housing market. Price controls historically lead to economic collapse, and such a policy might halt new housing developments, triggering a significant housing crisis.

Adding to the controversy, Biden accused Republicans of wanting to prosecute political enemies, a bold statement given that his administration is currently prosecuting his political adversaries, something former President Trump did not do.
Biden also claimed he is making homeownership more affordable. This assertion seems detached from reality, as mortgage interest rates have surged from around 2% to over 7% under his administration. This increase has nearly doubled monthly mortgage payments compared to the end of Trump’s term, making Biden’s claim seem disingenuous.

Biden’s speech also included praise for the Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests of 2020, which led to significant destruction in several cities. Voters need to consider whether they are willing to endure potential future unrest, as Biden appears to have little intention of curbing such riots unless they come from the political right, which he has historically condemned harshly.
