Let’s talk about the latest event featuring Kamala Harris and Joe Biden in Maryland, where they attempted to make their case on the economy. Unfortunately for them, it didn’t exactly go as planned. In fact, it might have been more of an embarrassment than a rallying cry.
Let’s start with Kamala Harris. She made some comments that were, quite frankly, alarming in their ignorance. She talked about what she would do on “day one” if elected, as though she isn’t already in a position of power. But the real kicker was her failure to grasp—or maybe just her indifference to—the fact that overspending is a major driver of inflation.
Instead of solving the problem, she’s been part of an administration that has made it worse with questionable policies. And to top it off, she praised the “extraordinary Joe Biden.” But how extraordinary is he really?

That brings us to Biden himself. During his remarks, Biden couldn’t even pronounce Harris’s name correctly, calling her “Cam-ala.” He also had a couple of moments where his thoughts just seemed to trail off, leaving everyone scratching their heads. And then there was his use of threatening language against the GOP, saying they’re going to “beat the hell out of them.”
This kind of rhetoric, especially so soon after the assassination attempt on Trump, is really troubling. Yet, where’s the media outrage? It seems to be missing in action.
But perhaps the most telling moment came shortly after Harris handed the podium over to Biden. Dozens of attendees just got up and left. That’s right—people walked out rather than listen to Biden speak. It’s a pretty stark display of the enthusiasm gap among Democrats, especially now that Harris has been elevated to the presidential nominee after Biden dropped out last month.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, when Biden and Harris went to greet an overflow room, they were met with angry protesters accusing Biden of facilitating “genocide” in Gaza. Not exactly the warm reception they were hoping for.
The attendance numbers at the event weren’t exactly inspiring either. The White House reported that around 2,300 people showed up, which is more than Biden usually gets but still a far cry from the massive crowds Trump pulls in. It’s no wonder the Biden-Harris camp might be feeling the pressure, especially when you compare this to Trump’s huge presence on social media and at rallies.
