The Justice Department just dropped a heavy hammer on election fraud. They charged 16 illegal immigrants with voting in federal elections. This isn’t a small slip-up. It is a federal crime. The Department said these people lied about being citizens to get ballots. They did this across several states. Per RedState, the cases cover voting by aliens and false claims on citizenship apps.
You might think this only happens in big cities. Think again. Ten of these arrests happened right here in Minnesota. That is a lot of people in one state. The other arrests spread to Florida, Louisiana, and Wisconsin. This shows the problem is everywhere.
Let’s look at the specific people involved. The Washington Examiner listed ten names from Minnesota. They include Bhator Konah Bryant from Liberia and Edvile Vaidoto Edmunds from Lithuania. There is also Joshua Frederick Kofi Edzie from Ghana. The list goes on with nationals from Germany, Bosnia, Brazil, Canada, and South Africa. Federal law enforcement arrested them all for election crimes.
Florida had its own share of trouble. Andrea Catanese from Italy and Terrance Patrick Evans from the Bahamas were caught. Catanese even tried to get citizenship by lying. He said he never voted in a federal election. Then he voted anyway. That is a clear lie. Per the Washington Examiner, both were arrested in Central Florida.
🚨Today, the Justice Department announced charges involving 16 ALIENS in connection with illegal voting, fraudulent voter registration, and related election crimes across the country.
The cases include:
• Voting by aliens in federal elections
• False claims of U.S. citizenship to register or vote
• False statements on citizenship applicationsRead more about each of these cases here: https://t.co/2DgngyKfDZ

One more detail stands out. The Washington Times noted something important about the timing. The DOJ has charged more noncitizen voting cases since September than the Biden administration did in four years. That is a big jump in activity. It means the government is finally looking closely at the rolls.
When you fill out a ballot, you swear you are a citizen. That is the deal. It keeps the vote fair for everyone. When people lie to get a ballot, they break that deal. They steal a voice from a real American. This is not just a legal issue. It is a matter of trust. Your neighbor’s vote counts less if someone else’s fake vote is added in. The system only works if we all follow the same rules.
The government is doing something about it now. They are not ignoring the problem. They are arresting people and charging them with federal crimes. This sends a message. If you lie to vote, you will face the law. It does not matter where you are from. The law applies to everyone.
These charges prove that fraud is real. It is happening right now. But we also see the fix is working. The new administration is cracking down hard. They are using the full power of the Justice Department. This is what accountability looks like.
It takes courage to admit when something is wrong. It takes action to fix it. These 16 cases are just the start. We should watch to see if more follow.
