FBI Investigates Assault Caught On Video

The brutal beating that went viral out of Cincinnati has now caught the attention of the feds.

The Daily Wire has learned that the FBI has opened an investigation into the Saturday night attack on a man and woman outside the Cincinnati Music Festival. A Justice Department official confirmed the move, adding that the FBI is already conducting interviews with suspects.

The order reportedly came directly from Attorney General Pam Bondi, signaling the administration’s intent to treat this incident as more than just a local matter.

The footage — which spread like wildfire on social media — is hard to watch. It shows a mob throwing a man to the ground, kicking and punching him as he tries to cover up, and then one assailant turning to sucker-punch a woman in the face, leaving her apparently unconscious. The video sparked outrage nationwide and prompted Cincinnati’s police chief to promise swift justice for the “cruel and absolutely unacceptable” assault.

Vice President JD Vance didn’t mince words. “What I saw… was a mob of lawless thugs beating up on an innocent person and it’s disgusting,” Vance said. “I hope every single one of those people who engaged in violence is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And they will be — so long as law enforcement in the state of Ohio take their jobs seriously.”

Cincinnati Fraternal Order of Police President Ken Kober echoed the outrage, condemning not just the attackers but also the bystanders who filmed the assault instead of intervening.

“What’s equally disgusting is those who chose to watch and record instead of calling 911, attempting to defuse the situation or render aid,” Kober told WLWT.

He expressed confidence that the city’s Central Business Section investigators would make arrests soon, but he didn’t shy away from calling on the courts to follow through and “hold these violent thugs accountable.”

This wasn’t just a bar fight gone wrong — it was a mob attack in a public space during one of Cincinnati’s biggest events of the year.
