Vice President Kamala Harris has once again been reintroduced to the American people, this time by media outlet 60 Minutes. However, the intended positive PR quickly turned into an abject disaster.
The 60 Minutes piece attempted to paint Harris in a favorable light but only served to highlight her lack of political prowess. The vice president, who has been “reintroduced” more times than the McRib, has continuously been given the kid glove treatment in an effort to bolster her image.
The piece began with a drooling puff piece, touting Harris as a “savvy player.” But this assertion rings hollow when examining her political career. Harris’s rise to vice president was marred by controversies and failures. When she was chosen as Biden’s running mate, she was already on the brink of dropping out of the presidential race, despite being the frontrunner at one point.

Her fall from grace was not the result of external factors, but rather her own lack of capability and likability. Harris’s success can be attributed to identity politics, not her qualifications as a politician.
A perfect example of her ineptitude was on display when she announced that President Biden was indeed alive. This declaration stems from the fact that the administration’s economic policies have resulted in a nearly 18 percent cumulative price increase for Americans, making it difficult for many to afford basic necessities.

Yet, Harris continues to push the narrative that the problem lies in effective messaging, rather than acknowledging the dire state of the economy. She and the Biden administration are trying to spin the data, but the reality is that wages are stagnant, while the cost of living has skyrocketed.
The 60 Minutes piece also attempted to downplay Harris’s stagnancy, but their efforts fell flat. In a recent trip to Europe, Harris warned Russia not to invade Ukraine, only for Putin to do exactly that the following day. This blunder only highlights the lack of value and credibility in the Biden administration’s warnings and actions.

Despite the constant rebranding attempts, Harris’s political deficiencies remain unchanged. She shows no progression or growth as a politician, and her unpopularity rivals that of toe fungus. It is clear that her rise to power was primarily based on her identity, and the consequences of playing the identity politics game are becoming apparent for the Democrats.
In the end, it is evident that Kamala Harris is simply not a viable presidential candidate. The American people have been repeatedly reintroduced to her, but the same flaws and shortcomings continue to surface. It is time for the Biden administration to stop trying to salvage her image and recognize that she is not fit to lead this country.
