Hollywood Finally Reacts To Recent Accident Involving Jeremy Renner

Early Monday morning, both friends and colleagues came together to send out their well-wishes and prayers when the various reports started to make the rounds that famed actor Jeremy Renner had been severely injured in an accident.

Well-known for the role he plays as the comic superhero Hawkeye in a number of films within the Marvel cinematic universe, Renner reportedly received a number of serious injuries when the snow plow he was operating to clear off his Nevada driveway ended up rolling over his legs.

The highly popular entertainment website, TMZ, shared a video of the well-known actor being emergency airlifted out to a local hospital and issued a report that a neighbor — who happened to be a doctor —  had been able to make it to the actor prior to the area first responders getting to the scene and had performed first aid by applying a tourniquet to slow down the intense bleeding.

“My God,” posted another actor, Josh Gas, to social media in the wake of the news breaking. “Praying for @jeremyrenner and his family.”

Christopher Yost, a comic writer, also chimed in to wish Renner a speedy recovery, adding, “Wishing @JeremyRenner a full and speedy recovery. I remember feeding him a hundred different lines for his scene in Thor, he was out in the fake rain for hours on a cold night, up in a cherry picker with a bow and arrow. Couldn’t be more game, an incredibly nice, genuine guy.”

“My heart is with @Jeremyrenner,” posted James Gunn, the famed director of “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

Robert Patrick, an actor from “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” — who also worked with Renner back in 2014 on “Kills the Messenger” stated, “Sending up thoughts and prayers for @jeremyrenner.”

Tara Strong, an actress who worked with Renner back in 1995 on the acclaimed comedy “National Lampoon’s Senior Trip,” issued her own well-wishes: “My sweet @JeremyRenner. Loved you for decades. From a Senior Trip to the #MCU. Sending you & your closest healing love, light & strength for a full recovery. #JeremyRenner.”

As of Monday, a spokesperson for the actor put out an official statement, stating, “As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today. His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

Renner’s most recent tweet prior to his accident was to promote his soon-to-air reality show hosted on Disney+, “Rennervations.”

There’s no better way to kick off the new year than giving back to those who need it most! Don’t miss #Rennervations, coming soon to @Disney+.”
