The chaos engulfing Los Angeles in the wake of recent ICE enforcement actions is no longer just a story about immigration. It has spiraled into something far more radical—and far more dangerous. At the center of this unrest are extremist groups openly calling for the “reconquest” of the American Southwest and the dismantling of the U.S. immigration system, with the support of left-wing coalitions, government-funded NGOs, and Marxist factions that have turned a protest into a flashpoint for ideological revolution.
One of the primary organizers, Centro CSO, advocates for the idea that states like California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas are stolen territory—occupied Mexico. They wave the flag of Aztlán, a mythical homeland claimed by Aztec lore, and declare the United States to be a colonialist power with no legitimate claim to these lands. That’s not just political rhetoric—it’s a call for ethnic separatism and revolutionary change.
Another key player, Unión del Barrio, echoes the same sentiments but cloaks their message in academic Marxism and pan-Latino racial politics. They refer to America as an “illegal settler nation” and openly promote a socialist revolution against what they describe as “European colonialism” and “Anglo settler” rule. Their ideological framework is rooted in overthrowing the existing U.S. system—by any means necessary.
🇺🇸🔥 LOOK WHO’S ORGANIZING THE LA PROTESTS 🔥🇺🇸
Meet Ron Gochez, one of the major organizers behind today’s unrest in Los Angeles.
A self-proclaimed revolutionary who called for a revolution to take land back from “white racist people.”

These aren’t fringe views whispered in private—they’re shouted on megaphones at public rallies, taught in classrooms, and posted across social media with instructions on how to identify ICE vehicles and track agent movements. One of their spokespeople, Ron Gochez, is an actual teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District, calling “frail racist white people” the obstacle to open borders.
At the Sunday protests, figures like Sammy Carrera spoke into microphones not about peace, but about escalation: “We’re no longer going to be on the defense, we’re going to take the fight to them,” he declared. This is open incitement, broadcast and reposted by allied communist organizations that glorify violent resistance.
And behind the masks, gear, and fireworks? The Community Self Defense Coalition, handing out helmets and respirators. They don’t want de-escalation—they want confrontation.
Shockingly, one of the major organizations involved, The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, continues to receive millions in federal funding under the Biden administration—even as it works to “dismantle” the very enforcement agencies that uphold immigration law. This same group had its funding frozen under President Trump. That should tell you everything.
The situation is so volatile that even left-leaning figures are beginning to speak out. Senator John Fetterman condemned the chaos as “anarchy and true chaos,” warning that the Democratic Party is losing its moral credibility. Even Bernie Sanders, no friend of Trump, reminded protesters that change comes through non-violence, not destruction.
President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth responded swiftly. National Guard units have been deployed, and now U.S. Marines are entering the fray. Trump summed it up clearly on Truth Social: “If we had not done so, Los Angeles would have been completely obliterated.”
