Trump Comments On Bondi and Bongino

President Donald Trump offered an emphatic endorsement of Attorney General Pam Bondi on Saturday amid growing unrest within his own administration and the broader MAGA movement over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case files.

The controversy was reignited after The Daily Wire reported that FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino had threatened to resign if Bondi remained in her post, following the DOJ’s release of a two-page memo concluding there was no evidence of a client list, blackmail, or foul play in Epstein’s death.

In a strongly worded post on Truth Social, Trump defended Bondi and pushed back against internal critics. “What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” Trump wrote. “We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish people’ are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.”

Trump continued, reiterating Bondi’s value to the administration and framing the criticism as a distraction from core priorities. “LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT! The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024 — That’s what she is looking into as AG, and much more. One year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the ‘HOTTEST’ Country anywhere in the World. Let’s keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about.”

While Trump did not mention Bongino by name, the post was widely interpreted as a direct response to reports of internal dissent. Bongino has not issued a public statement, but sources told The Daily Wire he made clear he would not continue in his role if Bondi remained at the helm of the DOJ.

Separately, FBI Director Kash Patel addressed similar rumors surrounding his own future. In a post to X, Patel called the Epstein-related speculation “conspiracy theories” and reaffirmed his loyalty to Trump: “I’ll continue to serve the President of the United States for as long as he calls on me.”

Bondi, a former Florida Attorney General and a longtime Trump ally who notably defended him during his first impeachment trial, was appointed to head the Department of Justice after former Rep. Matt Gaetz withdrew from consideration earlier this year.

The DOJ’s Epstein memo, released without fanfare, has sparked criticism among Trump supporters and transparency advocates who believe critical information remains hidden. However, Trump’s latest statements suggest he sees the controversy as both politically toxic and strategically irrelevant.
