Van Jones Demands El-Sayed Denounce “Dangerous” Anti-Israel Ad

Van Jones told CNN that a new ad in Michigan is “dangerous” because it blames the Jewish state for high grocery prices. He says Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed must denounce it. The ad claims you are suffering “because of the Jewish state.” Jones called this a dark path that leads to hate. It is the kind of talk that makes life hard for neighbors. The media is circling the wagons to protect El-Sayed, according to Townhall. They picked him as the only option left to save from the litter of other bad candidates.

On Monday’s broadcast of “CNN NewsNight,” Jones laid out the problem. He said the ad suggests the United States gives all its money to Israel. We do not. We spend money in Qatar and around the world. Yet the ad picks out the Jewish state to blame. Jones called it “anti-Jewish hate” that should be taken down.

He argued that blaming Jews for problems riles people up. This is not just bad politics; it is a safety issue. Jones said El-Sayed has argued we cannot have good schools because we fund the Iron Dome. The gap between what El-Sayed says and what is true is wide.

Townhall columnist Derek Hunter says the corporate media is acting like kids at a pet shop. They want to take every Democrat home, but they can only pick one. They passed on a candidate in Maine with a Nazi tattoo. They skipped a man who had kids with his cousin. They ignored an old senator who is already half in the grave.

They avoided a woman they know is smart. They skipped a Texas guy who is “creepy” in a way that makes people wonder about dead squirrels in his garage. That leaves El-Sayed as the runt of the litter. The media adopted him and has been carrying his water ever since.

Guest host Michael Smerconish noted that El-Sayed’s campaign has “distanced itself” from the ad. Jones countered with a simple truth: “They’ve distanced. They haven’t denounced.” There is a big difference between stepping back and speaking up. El-Sayed also declined to state that Iran poses a greater threat than Israel, according to reports.

He did not condemn the ayatollah. The Breitbart report says Jones called these “terrible things to say.” The ad blames the Jewish state for suffering. The candidate blames the Iron Dome for bad schools. The media wants to ignore it all. El-Sayed needs to denounce the hate, not just distance himself from it.

People in Michigan are paying the price for this confusion.
