Yet Another Hollywood Star Steps Up To Diss Cancel Culture

Marlon Wayans, the famous comedian and actor, stepped up recently to attack cancel culture as a whole as part of a recent interview that was published near the end of last week, promising to never try and censor himself, his work, or his thoughts.

The 50-year-old Wayans is well known for his parts in “White Chicks,” “Scary Movie,” Requiem for a Dream,” and “Marmaduke.”

As part of a recent interview held with BuzzFeed, Wayans stood in strong defense of the comedy “White Chicks,” which is a movie in which a pair of black FBI agents go undercover as two white women.

When questioned by the outlet if he thought a film such as “White Chicks” could “thrive” in the current political and social climate, Wayans expressed, “I think they’re needed.”

“I don’t know what planet we’re on, where you think people don’t need laughter, and that people need to be censored and canceled,” he went on. “If a joke is gonna get me canceled, thank you for doing me that favor.”

Wayans claimed that he currently has zero intention of dealing with people who are intensely afraid of just how the woke mob could respond to something online.

“It’s sad that society is in this place where we can’t laugh anymore,” the actor continued. “I ain’t listening to this damn generation. I ain’t listening to these folks: These scared-ass people, these scared executives.”

Wayans claimed that those who wish to censor their material to try and not offend anyone should be free to do that if they want and that if they choose that they want to make more money by refusing to care and putting out the politically incorrect humor that people want then they should just “jump on board.”

“Y’all do what you want to do? Great,” he explained. “I’m still gonna tell my jokes the way I tell them. And if you want to make some money, jump on board. And if not, then I’ll find a way to do it myself. I know my audience. My audience comes to my shows every weekend and they leave feeling great and laughing. One thing about the Wayans, we’ve always told the worst joke the best way.”

It was highlighted by The New York Post late last year, Wayans claimed that it was high time to see a sequel to “White Chicks.”

“I think ‘White Chicks 2’ is necessary,” explained Wayans. “I think we’ve tightened up so much that we need to loosen our ties a bit and laugh a little bit.”

“I don’t think Hollywood understands what a juggernaut ‘White Chicks 2’ would be,” he concluded. “And the world just keeps giving us more. ‘White Chicks 2’ is writing itself.”
