WATCH: Chris Wallace Finds Himself In Bill Maher’s Hot Seat Over Voting For Trump

This past Friday, Chris Wallace, former host of “Fox News Sunday,” found himself in the hot seat under a barrage of intense questions from comedian Bill Maher, asking him whether or not he had officially cast a vote for former President Donald Trump.

Wallace went up with Maher as part of a panel discussion on “Real Time With Bill Maher: Overtime” — joined by former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) and journalist Katty Kay — and he pointedly deflected questions about his past voting history.

“So did you vote for Trump?” Maher posited of Wallace.

“I — you know, there’s a secret ballot,” Wallace stated, dodging the question.

“Oh, I know” stated Maher, highlighting that some people were less against speaking about this information. “Some people don’t care about that question.”

“It was worth the question. It was worth a try,” Kay shrugged.

“Was it?” Wallace pressed.

“Yeah. I mean, why not?” Maher asked.

“I have a better question,” Wallace claimed, turning to Christie and asking, “Did you vote for Trump?”

“I did,” Christie’s response was blunt.

Wallace went in again, asking, “Both times?”

“Yep,” Christie once again answered quickly.

“Wow,” sounded from both Wallace and Maher then.

“And you would again?” Maher pushed once again.

“No,” expressed Kay, but Christie just laughed off the question.

“Good try,” he stated. “You’ve got more honesty out of me that you’ve got than anybody else. So that’s …”

“I’ll take my winnings and go home,” responded Maher.

Maher also asked the former New Jersey Governor regarding the possibility of another attempt at the presidency back in 2024 — which Christie claimed he was looking into.

“It’s rumored you’re considering another presidential run in 2024, is there any truth to that?” questioned Maher.

“Sure,” Christie stated.

Maher seemed caught off guard by the direct answer, and replied, “Oh, I love that. I’m telling you — this show’s rubbing off on him, he’s getting very bold, yes, loose.”

“Yeah, that was me, I never had the reputation of being bold. Wallflower type,” expressed Christie in a heavily sarcastic comeback which spawned a bout of laughter from the audience.

“So you are considering it?” Maher pressed once again, and Christie answered, “Sure, yeah.”

“Yeah, you should, I mean, what not?” Maher claimed, stating that he thought there was a spot in the running for a “normal Republican — or an as-good-as-it-gets Republican.”
