During Tuesday’s episode of The View, Joy Behar made waves by calling for a list of attendees from former President Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden, which she provocatively referred to as a “Nuremberg Rally.”
Behar’s remarks kicked off a segment in which the cohosts discussed the rally’s themes, zeroing in on jokes made by one of the speakers, which Behar labeled as offensive.
Positioning herself as a critic of the rally’s humor, Behar asserted that it violated the “rule in comedy” to avoid “punching down,” setting a tense tone for the panel’s discussion.
While calling Trump and his supporters Nazis, The View cast have a meltdown over “Tampon Tim” Walz jokes.

The cohosts didn’t hold back as they assessed the Trump campaign’s rhetoric, including a jab at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, whom Trump’s camp dubbed “Tampon Tim” in reference to Walz’s policy to place menstrual products in men’s bathrooms.
Sara Haines voiced her distaste for the label, while Whoopi Goldberg weighed in, suggesting that the Trump camp’s name-calling was a tactic driven by fear of a rematch with Vice President Kamala Harris. Goldberg characterized Trump as “terrified” of facing Harris again, interpreting the rally rhetoric as a sign of his campaign’s anxiety.
The panel’s criticism extended to Dr. Phil McGraw, who made an appearance at the rally to address the need for Americans to defend Trump supporters against bullying. While McGraw’s message was about unity, his presence at the rally sparked backlash from the panel.
Sunny Hostin criticized the event as one where privilege allowed people to dismiss concerns about offensiveness. She then cast the rally in stark terms, calling it a “white nationalist rally with a white nationalist platform,” further inflaming the conversation.
Behar, returning to her initial point, expressed her outrage, stating, “Who are these people who went to that rally? I want to know.” Her call for a list of attendees underscored the intensity of the discussion and highlighted the broader social divide in views around the rally, particularly as many in the media have drawn severe parallels between Trump’s support base and extremist ideologies.
