Harris Delivers Message on Election

Vice President Kamala Harris has once again faced criticism for her word salad during a recent TV interview. This time, Harris stumbled over her words while discussing the 2024 presidential election, saying “this is the most election of our lifetime.”

During her appearance on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” with Lawrence O’Donnell, Harris was asked about former President Donald Trump’s recent comments about migrants “poisoning the blood of our country.” In response, Harris slammed Trump and his supporters for their divisive rhetoric.

However, when the conversation turned to the 2024 presidential election, Harris appeared to struggle with her words. She began by saying, “You know, every election cycle we talk about this is the most election of our lifetime,” before pausing and then repeating the phrase. She then corrected herself, saying, “Lawrence, this one is, this one is.”

Harris went on to discuss the importance of preserving fundamental freedoms and defending against those who seek to divide the country. She spoke about the need for people to be free from fear of violence and hate, as well as the freedom to simply exist without limitations from others.

The vice president’s word salad continued throughout the rest of the interview, with Harris providing a convoluted definition of the word “culture” and discussing the importance of expressing one’s feelings in the present moment.

This is not the first time Harris has faced criticism for her unscripted speaking style. In July, she sparked headlines for her rambling response to a question about culture at a music festival in New Orleans. She also faced criticism for her confusing remarks about abortion rights at a rally in April and her nonsensical statement about “unburdening” the future during a Women’s History Month event in March.

Harris’ word salad has been a source of fodder for her critics, who have compared her to President Joe Biden, known for his gaffes. This latest incident on MSNBC has only added fuel to the fire, with many on social media mocking Harris and questioning her ability to effectively communicate as a vice president.

As the first female and first Black vice president in US history, Harris has faced intense scrutiny and pressure since taking office. While she has been praised for her poise and confidence in other settings, Harris’ unscripted interviews and speeches continue to raise concerns about her ability to effectively communicate as the second-in-command.

In the meantime, Harris’ office has not commented on the latest incident and it remains to be seen how she will address the criticism. With the 2024 presidential election on the horizon, it is clear that Harris will need to work on her public speaking skills in order to effectively communicate with the American public. For now, her word salads continue to provide fodder for her critics and spark debates about her abilities as Vice President.
