Music Super Star Now Suspect In Battery Case After Spat With Audience Member

Rap superstar Cardi B is now under investigation as a suspect in a battery incident after new footage emerged showing the moment she throw a microphone at an audience member who had thrown a drink at her during a gig in Las Vegas on Saturday.

On Saturday night, Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, 30, was performing at Drai’s Beachclub with her live performance of her smash hit “Bodak Yellow” suddenly coming to an abrupt halt when liquid was seen hitting her in the face from a drink cup in the audience.

A video shared on social media by user kfen777 shows the WAP hit maker appearing shocked before quickly acting to hurl the microphone toward the drink thrower. Security is soon seen rushing into the crowd to handle the situation.

The alleged victim has now claimed on social media that she was not the person who threw the drink at Cardi, saying she was ‘bruised and sore’ and sharing a clip of the incident captioned: When I’m the one who gets smoked by the microphone but didn’t throw the drink.

The woman went to the Las Vegas Metro PD on Sunday to file a report. Cardi B has yet to comment on the investigation.

The incident came just moments after the star became irritated after the DJ was allegedly cutting off her songs too early, causing her to toss the microphone as if she was throwing a football off the stage.

Prior to the microphone-throwing incidents, Cardi had been seen barefoot on stage while performing her smash hit I Like It prior in a neon yellow mini dress.

The hip-hop star was also seen asking fans to throw water at her as she complained about the excessive heat in Sin City, much to the delight of her fans. She also enjoyed another show with Offset and several of her gal pals, wearing a red dress and a pair of oversized wraparound red shades.

Cardi and her husband Offset have recently had to combat allegations that they faked a cheating scandal to promote their collaborative single, Jealousy. The Grammy winner set the record straight, posting “It wasn’t no STUNT,” in response to an Instagram comment about the infidelity allegations.

The couple, who secretly wed in September 2017, have two children together – daughter Kulture and son Wave. Offset also has four other children.

The investigation continues into the battery incident in Las Vegas. Hopefully, the truth will come out soon.
