A Democratic congressman is admitting that Hunter Biden broke the law, and some are wondering how much the former Vice President knew.
In a bombshell statement, Congressman Jim Himes (D-CT) conceded that Hunter Biden likely broke the law in his dealings, adding that he should face the consequences if found guilty.
“Let me say something that you never heard a Republican member of Congress say in the four years of the Trump administration, which is that if Hunter Biden broke the law, he should be prosecuted,” Himes said on MSNBC. “And it is clear that he broke the law with respect to taxes and possibly the ownership of a handgun. He should be held accountable for that.”
The news comes after Hunter Biden associate Devon Archer testified on Monday before a closed-door hearing. While his anticipated testimony was to highlight Joe Biden’s knowledge of his son’s shady deals with hostile countries, Archer instead claimed the two spoke on the phone multiple times about the weather.

The Department of Justice also stepped in during the hearing, threatening Archer with legal action. Though the issue has since been resolved, the move has been painted as witness intimidation and a public relations blunder by the DOJ.
Not all Democrats have been so generous in their assessment of Hunter’s legal issues. “Now, to the question about impeachment, there is today zero evidence, zero evidence that Joe Biden, the president of the United States, knew about what his son was doing,” Himes said. “If he did know about it, if he participated in that, then that is a very different conversation.”
The news also adds fuel to the fire regarding the suspicious activity reports filed with the Treasury Department against the Biden family. According to reports, at least 170 suspicious activities reports have been filed by six different banks involving the Bidens’ financial transactions and money transfers into shell companies the family established.
With Democratic Congressman Jim Himes admitting Hunter Biden broke the law, more questions are being raised as to how much Joe Biden knew of his son’s shady dealings.
