Prime Minister Chris Hipkins, who only recently managed to secure his office in New Zealand earlier this year, appeared to struggle extremely hard prior to entirely failing to offer up any sort of definition to the word “woman” while taking part in a recent press appearance.
Piers Morgan, a host on British television, openly mocked Hipkins, highlighting that he had outright failed to give a definition to the term despite teh fact that he had only just taken over his current role from a woman — Jacinda Ardern — when he took on his new roll as prime minister.

One reporter apparently ended up taking Hipkins off guard while speaking at the Sunday press conference, asking directly, “How do you and how does this government define a woman?”
“To be honest, Sean that question has come slightly out of left field for me. The biology, sex, gender …” Hipkins started, and then he trailed off, appearing to try and wrack his brain for the right answer. “People define themselves, people define their own genders.”
After some obvious panic, the reporter pressed once again, stating that he only wanted to know how Hipkind would actually define just what a woman is.
Hipkins chose to dig in once again and staunchly repeated his previous non-answer, stating first that he had not at all expected such a question and had therefore not taken the needed time to “pre-formulate” a suitable answer. “In terms of gender identity, I think people define their gender identity for themselves.”
Hopkins is certainly not the first politician to fumble over themself when it comes to that particular question — last year when questioned by Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson famously stated, “I am not a biologist.”
This particular question has become such a focal point of the trans movement to such an extent that a number of documentaries have been made based on just how people all over the globe react to the question — and people such as J.K.Rowling have been harrassed and labeled “TERF” (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist) for stating that such a question does actually have a solid definite answer.
