Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) recently took the time to shine a light on just how much of a devastating impact the policies of President Joe Biden have caused in regard to the massive explosion in profits that the Mexican drug cartels are seeing due to their human smuggling.
While speaking on Fox News with Jesse Watters recently, Cruz sounded the call for justice to be meted out to those that took the lives of two American citizens in Mexico, going on to add that it was Biden’s complete lack of “responsible presidential leadership” that was the main contributor to the current situation.
“Joe Biden created the chaos at the border. Joe Biden stopped building the wall. He reinstated Catch and Release. He pulled out of Remain in Mexico,” stated Cruz. “And what Joe Biden has done is he’s turned these vicious narco-terrorists into multi-billionaires.”
The senator, aged 52, then spoke about a recent report out of the New York Times that unveiled that these Mexican drug cartels spiked from making about $500 million a year coming from their human smuggling back in 2018 to making $13 billion from human smuggling for 2022, a staggering 2,500% increase.
“Joe Biden becoming president is the best thing that ever happened to the Mexican drug cartels,” stated Cruz. “Last year, we had the highest number of drug overdoses in the history of our country, over 100,000 drug overdoses in the United States, the majority of which came from Chinese fentanyl flooding across this border. Joe Biden and the Democrats are responsible for turning these vicious murderers into multibillionaires. We need to bankrupt them, we need to put them out of business. And the people responsible for these murders need to be brought to justice!”
