Top Biden Officials Slapped With Subpoenas From House Judiciary Committee

Christopher Wray, the director of the FBI, was officially subpoenaed this past Friday under the order of the House Judiciary Committee due to information in relation to an accusation that the Bureau turned its crosshairs on parents who attended a meeting of the school board back in 2021, as explained by Fox News.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) issued subpoenas to the  Department of Education and Education Secretary Miguel Cardona this past Friday, forcing him to make an appearance alongside Wray on the first of March about the school board issue, as reported by The Dialy Caller. Jordan also issued another letter in the same vein to the Department of Justice and Attorney General Merrick Garland, as reported by Breitbart.

These subpoenas compel the named officials to speak in front of the committee at 9 a.m. March 1st concerning the “misuse of federal criminal and counterterrorism resources ” surrounding the school board meetings. The subpoenas also communications and documents that are in relation to Garland’s October 4, 2021, memo calling for the FBI to work with area police forces to look into what he called threats against school boards and “prosecute them when appropriate,” as reported by Fox News.

Back during the summer of 2021, parents showed up en masse to push the school boards over a number of issues, including masking mandates for schools and the inclusion of Critical Race Theory and gender studies in standard classroom materials.

This past September, the National School Boards Association (NSBA) issued a letter to the Department of Justice calling on federal agents to look into a few threats issued against members of the school board.

“Coupled with attacks against school board members and educators for approving policies for masks to protect the health and safety of students and school employees, many public school officials are also facing physical threats because of propaganda purporting the false inclusion of critical race theory within classroom instruction and curricula,” expressed the letter.

“NSBA respectfully asks that a joint collaboration among federal law enforcement agencies, state and local law enforcement, and with public school officials be undertaken to focus on these threats. NSBA specifically solicits the expertise and resources of the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Secret Service, and its National Threat Assessment Center regarding the level of risk to public schoolchildren, educators, board members, and facilities/campuses,” the letter finally concluded.

Just a week in the wake of the NSBA letter going out, Garland put out another memo in which he called on the FBI to start investigating the incidents from school board meetings. This sparked extreme concerns throughout Republicans that the Biden administration was attempting to use federal law enforcement to attack valid criticism of draconian COVID school policies, as well as the ensuing parental backlash against leftist theories involving gender and systemic racism.
