Trump Makes Appearance At RNC Convention

Former President Donald Trump made a dramatic entrance at the Republican National Convention on Monday, sporting a white bandage over his right ear. The crowd immediately erupted in chants of “USA!” and “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

Trump’s arrival followed a significant announcement just hours earlier, where he revealed Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) as his running mate for the upcoming November presidential election. This event came just over 48 hours after a would-be assassin opened fire at his rally in Pennsylvania, killing firefighter Corey Comperatore and wounding Trump and two others.

In classic Trump style, he entered the convention to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA.” The crowd’s reaction was electric, with cheers and applause mixed with chants of “Fight!” Trump walked in, the white bandage on his ear prominently visible, symbolizing his recent brush with danger.

Greg Price captured the moment on X, posting, “President Donald J. Trump enters the RNC less than 72 hours after surviving an assassination attempt. This is so awesome. Absolute boss,” alongside video footage of Trump’s entrance.

As Greenwood finished his performance and introduced Trump, the crowd broke into chants of “USA! USA! USA!” Trump joined in, and as the next speaker was introduced, some attendees began chanting “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

This chant echoed Trump’s own words during the assassination attempt, when he fought his way to his feet and defiantly shouted, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” after being tackled to the ground by the Secret Service.

Monday’s appearance marked Trump’s first major public event since the assassination attempt. The chants and the palpable energy in the room underscored the former president’s resilience and the unwavering support from his base.
