WATCH: Fetterman Shouts Down Oz Throughout Debates Closing Remarks

This past Tuesday, Republican challenger Dr. Mehmet Oz found himself being shouted down by U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman (D) during the final statements from the candidate in the recent, and only, debate.

Fetterman has been made to deal with fairly extreme scrutiny regarding his fitness for office after he went through a stroke earlier this year and has demonstrated that he often struggles to understand words and often has a hard time speaking and needs conversations written out for him to fully understand exactly what is going on.

Throughout the entire event, Fetterman was seen repeatedly struggling with the conversation, often issuing back quite choppy answers that did not end up making sense and that seems fairly rushed, overly anxious, and on quite a few different moments did not even speak to the topic of the question that had just been brought up for him to comment on.

“I’ve talked to couples who want to make their first down payment on a new house and they can’t afford it anymore because of interest rates,” Oz stated as part of his closing argument for the singular debate. “I’ve talked to families –”

Seemingly out of nowhere and entirely off-topic to what was being discussed by his opponent, Fetterman interrupted and shouted down Oz, stating, “You want to cut social security!”

“Mr. Fetterman, it’s his turn for his closing,” quickly chimed back in the moderator of that evening’s debate as a way to shut down Fetterman during the final comments from Oz.
