WATCH: Robber Finds Deadly Surprise From Armed Customer At Houston Taqueria

A robbery suspect was shot and killed by a man inside of a Houston area taqueria this pat Thursday prior to the shooter gathering up and returning the stolen items and money to the various patrons, as explained by police officials.

This incident took place at roughly 11:30 p.m. and was captured on the building’s surveillance video, which has managed to garner multiple millions of views online as it went viral.

Witnesses from the restaurant stated to police officials that a masked African American man clad in a black ski mask, black gloves, and all-black clothing stepped into the building, pointed what seemed to be another gun at the people inside the building, and demanded that they hand over their money and valuables, explained a report from the Houston Police.

While this person was moving around the building, stealing money from the various patrons, one customer that was seated in a booth with another person quickly stood up as soon as the suspect moved past them and quickly pulled out his own gun, as seen in the surveillance video.

Police forces stated that the armed patron elected to shoot the suspect a number of times before picking up the stolen money, which he then handed back to the patrons of the business. This person, along with the other patrons, then left the scene, forcing the police to question and reach out to the public to help in naming the shooter as he needs to be brought in for questioning.

Officials with the Houston Police Department shared a number of images from the surveillance of the man they think was the armed customer, labeling him as a Hispanic or white man, as well as his 1970s and 1980s model, pick-up truck that did not have a bed. As of writing, no charges from the police have been filed, explained police officials as part of a press release made public on Friday.

Police forces stated that the officers who responded to the call discovered the robbery suspect with several gunshot wounds, and paramedics announced him dead. The suspect is thought to be a man in his 20s, and his identity has not been made public pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, as explained by the police in a release.

Houston police Lt. R. Wilkins explained that the now-dead suspect was brandishing “a plastic pistol possibly an aero soft or possibly a little BB pistol,” as reported by KHOU 11. No one else received injuries during the event, explained the news report.
