WATCH: Whoopi Goldberg Speaks Out With Yet Another INSANE Take

This past Monday, Whoopi Goldberg put out the idea that nothing would ever actually change with regard to police brutality until these police officers start to go out of their way to beat white people.

Goldberg issued these statements as part of an ongoing talk about the recent death of Tyre Nichols while recording the Monday broadcast of ABC’s midday talk show “The View,” making the argument that people only really care about police brutality when they could identify with the victim on a personal level — and seemingly suggesting that quite a few people might not ever care about the issue until police officers start savagely attacking white people.

“If it is a black policeman or a white policeman, it is a problem in policing itself, you know,” exclaimed Goldberg, going on to add, “Seems things don’t seem to make sense to people unless it’s somebody they can feel, or they can recognize — but how many times do we have to see — do we need to see white people also get beaten before anybody will do anything?”

“I’m not suggesting that, so don’t write us and tell me what a — you know, what a racist I am,” stated Goldberg. “I’m just asking, is that what people have to see in order to wake up and realize this affects us all?”

One of her co-hosts, Sunny Hostin, chimed in on the issue by making the argument that police departments were given far too much funding and made the claim that the money could be much better spent on dealing with homelessness or with assisting people with getting connected with mental health resources.

Goldberg quickly leaped back into the mix, exclaiming that the overall real problem was that police officials and officers within the police department lacked “humanity.”

“Is it just because folks have dehumanized us and made us like some kind of monsters?” questioned Goldberg. “I listen to that other side on television and they talk about us like we have no humanity.”

She continued her rant and suggested that police officers only had murder on their minds when they chose to carry out a traffic stop, adding, “Maybe it’s a traffic stop for a lady who’s smoking in her car and you don’t understand why she doesn’t want you in her face but you kill her and everybody goes, ‘Oh, that’s really sad.'”

“I’m sick of this,” finished Goldberg. “You should be sick of this. Are we? Then make sure that when you have the opportunity to make the changes that need to be made, make them! Don’t sit around and do — just talk about them — let’s get something done.”
