Back near the end of November, the niece of former Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Christie allegedly slung a series of horrid racial insults at groups of Latino passengers sitting on a Spirit Airlines flight slated for New Orleans prior to lashing out to violently attacking a group of police officers who were trying to get her to vacate the jetway after she was removed from the plane.
The 25-year-old niece of Christie, Shannon Epstein, allegedly called out several Latino families asking if they were “smuggling cocaine” on the flight and used a “guttural term,” as expressed by the nearby gat agent who was interviewed by law enforcement, reported the New York Post. The plane was then made to go back to the gate directly after taking off in order to allow Epstein to be removed from the plan, which only reportedly made her much angrier.
Epstein allegedly devolved into violence against the police officers while on the jetway bridge and began shouting about her uncle and about former President Donald Trump.
“Do you know who I am? I’m Chris Christie’s daughter and you’re so f***ed. You will lose your job over this s***. I know Donald Trump,” she stated allegedly.
Police claimed that she had “unusual strength” as she fought against police forces and “had white foam coming from the sides of her mouth,” leading police officials to assess that how she was reacting was quite consistent with someone who was under the effects of alcohol or drugs.
“By this time tomorrow you will both be in jail. What the f*** did I do? I’m a lesbian. Is that it? Do you want put your d*** in me? That’s it, isn’t it. That’s what this is all about? You want to put your d*** in my mouth, don’t you? You’re so f***ed, you a**hole,” she exclaimed. “Do you guys think I have cocaine in my p****?”
Allegedly, she managed to bite one of the officers so hard that she ended up breaking the skin on his arm and “tore they skin away.” Another police officer claimed that she “punched me, kicked me, spit in my face, and twisted as she attempted to free herself from my grip.”
Overall, six law enforcement officials required medical treatment for their injuries.
Police forces were forced to restrain her to a wheelchair in order to move her out of the jetway and over to the security office of the airport.
Epstein was able to pay bail of $10,750 and was allowed to go free that same day. She is expected to go back to Jefferson Parish for court on January 23, 2023.
