Storm Sweeps Across Social Media As King Charles III Berates Staff After Only 2 Days As King

After only sitting on the throne for a scant few days, King Charles III has already managed to start gathering a negative public image in the wake of a video coming to light of him insistently and wildly gesturing at one of his aides that ended up going viral over this past weekend.

One of these video clips came directly from the parody Twitter account Laura Kuenssberg Translator, and as of this past Monday morning, it has managed to skirt the edge of a 26 million view count. In the video, Charles wildly gestures for one of the members of his staff to take a selection of items off of his desk before he even sits down. The caption on this released video states, “The servant must clear my desk for me. I can’t be expected to move things.”

“Sympathy won’t last long with this sort of behaviour…” expressed one person in reply to the video.

“With all his wealth, he could already afford some manners,” stated another person in agreeance.

“The new King of England showing us who he really is,” chimed in another.

This particular clip ended up drawing a surprising amount of ire as yet another video taken from that same day. King Charles had run out of space on the small desk and ended up making an angry and impatient face while aggressively gesturing for an aide next to him to move a selection of the items out of his way.

Most Twitter viewers were not at all happy with the way that the new monarch carried himself and expressed their displeasure in the replies to these posts.

“That’s what growing up privileged does to you. That’s why they only want people that live the same way around them. They only are nice to common folk when the cameras are around. The common folk are just that to them,” exclaimed one poster.

“He didn’t just gesture. He was rude. This says a lot about him and not in a good way,” stated another person.

However, the new monarch had quite a few attempts to stand in defense of his actions, seemingly insisting that it was well within his right to call on his staffers to carry out what they labeled as their jobs.

“People moaning about this need to get a life. I’m a republican but I can see here a bereaved, bit stressed, man trying to get something done,” explained one person. “I’m sure the assistant was more than understanding. The face is just one of… ‘aaaargh, sort this out will ya’, that’s all.”
