WATCH: Vice President Harris Finds Herself The Target Of Intense Grilling Over Democrats’ Midterm Strategy

Chuck Todd, an anchor for MSNBC, stepped up to intensely grill Vice President Kamala Harris due to an odd midterm strategy being utilized by quite a few left-wing groups and even some prominent Democrats.

Todd talked with Harris as part of an extremely wide-ranging interview that went public this past Sunday morning as part of a segment of “Meet the Press,” and asked her if it “reflected poorly” on the Democrats as a whole to see its other members of the party attempting to elevate hard-right people for the primaries, many of whom they have spoken out about concerning them being a threat to democracy, seemingly in the desire to try and make it far easier for Democrats to take down their adversaries throughout the coming general elections.

“I’m curious, when you see the Democratic Party and some parts of the party funding ads to promote election deniers whether it’s Michigan, the high-profile race there, Illinois, Colorado, New Hampshire, it looks like a cynical — you know, a little bit cynical,” started Todd. “The president went out of his way to say there are good Republicans here. Should you leave the good Republicans alone in a primary? Is the Democratic Party making a mistake here? Those people could win if you’re not careful.”

“Listen. I’m not going to tell people how to run their campaigns,” answered VP Harris.

“Would you have done this? Would you have done this?” the Host continued. “Is this something you’d be comfortable doing?”

“I’m not going to tell people how to run their campaigns, Chuck,” stated Harris, highlighting that she had tried to run for a statewide office quite a few times in her career and believed that the business of strategy should be left to the individual candidates with their teams of advisors. “Let them make the decision based on what they believe is in the best interest of their state. I’m not going to tell people what to do.”

“You’re not worried that this reflects poorly on the Democrats?” explained Todd to the vice president.

“I think what we have to focus on is that within 60 days of this interview, in less than two months, we are looking at a midterm election in which so much is on the line,” answered Harris, seemingly trying to change the topic of conversation to abortion rights and making the argument that due to the recent Court’s recent decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization — which resulted in the official overturning of Roe v. Wade — meant that it was all on the line as they headed into November’s midterm elections.
